DEEP CREEK TRAINING/OUTING SCHEDULE UPDATE
FOR 2007/8
As promised earlier
this year, I have updated the training/outing schedule for the rest of the
year. Because we have so many new members, I have decided to have another
Intro to Fly Fishing and Intro to Casting in July this year. Additionally,
We have another trip scheduled for the Kern River in July also plus local
outings to the San Gabriel River both East and West forks. The remaining
events are listed below;
26-27 April: Kern
River Stream Fishing with nymphs and drys.
Daily from 8:30am to
4:pm(On the stream)
1-8 May: Deep Creek
Opener
12 July:
Introduction to Flyfishing
13 July:
Introduction to Casting
19-20 July: Kern
River Outing
24 August: Outing
to East Fork of San Gabriel. Small Stream fishing with nymphs and drys.
Setups and demos included.
2-8 October: Deep
Creek Closer
26 October: West
Fork of the San Gabriel River: Small Stream fishing with nymphs and drys.
Setups and demos included.
Coffee and Soft
Drinks will be available for the classes and full day classes will have a 1
hour lunch break.
Principal
Instructors for all classes will be Mike Wright, Don Johnson, Brett
Browning and Ernie Gulley, Rick Proulx, Gene Drake and with other volunteers
helping in their field of expertise.
Donation of $5 for
classroom training is requested from Club Members to assist us in defraying
costs. Outing cost is $10 for the same reason.
