President’s Message

This just goes to show you that you never know what will happen next. I have been the president of Deep Creek Fly Fishers twice before and all of sudden I am president again. I want to thank all the other members who volunteered to take a position on the board and all the members who served on the past boards. This club has a lot of members who will help out in many different ways. This club is successful because it’s members have stepped up to share the work it takes to run a club and I hope that it will be that way next year.

This year we have great speakers at our meetings, great classes, and great outings, Trout in the Classroom, projects, fishing derbies and brat sales lined up. Everyone will be able to find something to try or learn about, or volunteer to help at.

I would like to hear from you if you have an idea for a project or an outing or just something to make the club better.

Gary Applebee also has been through all this before and will be an excellent Vice President and President. We and the board with you help will make the next two years good years for the club.

Renew your membership now if haven’t already because it will be more than worth it. And, I hope you get enough fishing in this year; if you don’t it won’t be our fault.
