In November, we had Dave Whitlock , accompanied by his wife Emily, as our guest speakers. Dave’s program included fly tying and an excellent presentation on nymph systems. Dave has always been a champion of cool and warm, as well as cold, water fisheries and is known internationally for his innovative and effective fly tying designs. All Dave's works, especially his art, reflect the realism of nature and related fly fishing subjects through the eyes of a true sportsman.  We received many positive comments on the program and I’m sure many of us learned a lot of new things that we will try on the vise or on the water.

Dave donated all the flies he tied that evening to the club, plus he signed prints witch will be (collectors items)  for our December Banquet and fund raiser. 

The November meeting is one I am sure we will all remember and our thanks go to Dave for his superb program. 

P.S. 

As you know, donations were accepted at the door for this event to help defray the cost of the program.  Steve Zaborsky, using his initiative, offered non members a refund of half the donation price if they joined the club that night.  We got 4 new members due to his actions.  Way to go Steve!
