Just
an update on the Meet Me at the Lake Event
DEEP CREEK MEMBERS: WE NEED VOLUNTEERS: GET IN TOUCH WITH GAR
We are still
planning a fishing event for inner city kids on May 19, 2007.
We have
changed plans a little though. Rather than Little Rock Lake, we will host
the event at Crystal Lake on the Angeles National Forest. Rather than 400
kids, we are now planning on 200 kids. There will be volunteers there from
a variety of organizations but we need as many FRVC and other folks there
as are available.
We need folks
to help set up on the 18th and folks for the main event on the 19th.
Those of you interested in helping out both days are invited to camp out
at the lake with Karen and I on the night of the 18th. Tent camping is no
problem. If you want to bring up a self-contained small trailer, camper,
or
RV please contact Karen to discuss (access and parking for the event
are
limited). Karen's number is 626-335-1251 x249. If you want to add
