Again this
year there will be a series of projects in the Golden Trout Wilderness
through the coordinated effort of CalTrout, Trout Unlimited and the
California Department of Fish and Game, with volunteers from many local
flyfishing clubs. These are not specifically Deep Creek Flyfishers club
events, but many of our members have participated in the past and had a
great time. It’s a beautiful place, and a beautiful fish. The information
below is from Howard Kern, the Golden Trout Volunteer Coordinator.
Hot off of
the press! Here is the 2006 field season information for the Golden Trout
Restoration Project. We will hopefully have the new California Golden Trout
Website up and running this weekend (www.californiagoldentrout.org)
and we will be accepting on-line reservations for this year’s projects. You
may also fill out the attached form and mail it back, or fax it to (310)
772-8071. The California Golden Trout Yahoo Group and the California TU
Yahoo Group currently have the forms available for download (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAGTProject/
or
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TUCA/). I’m sure they will soon be on
California Trout’s Website (www.caltrout.org)
and TU California’s Website (www.tucalifornia.org)
as well.
