Holiday Banquet, December 1, 2004
A time – honored tradition continues when the Deep
Creek Fly fishers assemble for the Annual Holiday Banquet on December 1,
2004 at The Spaghetti Factory in Riverside. Happy Hour begins at 5:30 pm
with dinner seating at 7:00 pm. The Silent Auction and Raffle items can be
viewed during this period. Profits from this event go to the Club’s
treasury for ecological projects, support of our monthly meetings and the
Club’s operating expenses.
Tickets are $15. You can purchase them at the November
17th meeting or you can call either Charlie & Julie Taverna (909)
984-2234 or Bob Kreider (951) 845-1415 for reserved tickets to be picked up
the night of the banquet. The ticket price is $ 20 at the door if you
come without a pre-purchased ticket.
The menu is spaghetti and the schedule is as follows:
5:30 pm Happy “Wet Fly” Hour
7:00 PM Dinner Seating and Gourmet Dessert Auction
8:00 PM Raffle Drawing and Silent Auction Winners
Again this year, we are requesting that the Fly Tiers
in the Club donate a box of flies for the Silent Auction. These should be
given to Doug Spieske (909) 798-4151 as soon as possible and be sure to
bring them to the banquet. We are requesting DESSERTS. They will be
auctioned off by the acclaimed
Carlo Marchese (909) 825-2015.
Please let Carlo know if you will be donating a dessert
for the event. If you wish to share, we could use a few more quality items
such as rods, reels, float tubes, etc. for the Raffle and Silent Auction.
Additionally, we are soliciting anyone that might have a “get away” cabin
or home to offer for the Silent Auction.

holiday spirit for a wonderful evening.
