BILL DAVIS OUT OF CANADA

Fly Fishing Canada
Our Speaker,
Bill Davis,
has been a fishing guide since 1972. He started in the state of Michigan,
both as a charter boat operator and a guide on the streams and rivers, by
either drift boat or walk-in fishing, for salmon, steelheads and brown
trout.
In 1989 Bill moved to Alaska and continued as a guide for both boat
fishing on the Kenai River, and as a fly-out fishing guide. As a fly-out
fishing guide, he fished all over the Cook Inlet and Bristol Bay, fly
fishing for salmon, grayling, pike, dolly varden and rainbows. In 1996 Bill
accepted a position with Inconnu Lodge, which is a premier fly-fishing
destination in the wilds of the Yukon Territories. There is not another
flying fishing destination in Alaska or Canada that equals what is offered
at Inconnu Lodge. Monster pike, grayling, dolly varden and large lake trout,
are all available on
the fly.
The lodge is far removed from the hectic pace of everyday
urban life. Inconnu Lodge isn’t even near a road! The lodge operates as a
fly-out resort. The only way to get anywhere is via float-plain or
helicopter.
Inconnu Lodge is a Fishing and Recreational Resort, in
Canada’s Yukon Territory. They have a saying at Inconnu Lodge. "Once you
make your first trip, you will be back." Sitting on the Continental Divide,
185 miles east of Whitehorse, Inconnu Lodge offers it’s guests a vast
variety of activities: Heli-hiking, canoeing, kayaking, gold panning,
photography, general relaxation and some of the best fishing in Canada’s
North Country.
Come early to this month’s meeting and be prepared for an
awesome presentation of the Beautiful North Country.
